Used photoshop 7.0. Over 50 layers, taking up who knows how much time (very broken up based on work, ideas (or lack of ideas at times)). Mad props go to the dobofdob for the render [link] again. I'll learn 3d sometime... soon... Hopefully this will be my last deviation with a borrowed render. I no longer use anyone else brushes and rarely like tutorials when I can avoid them, so hopefully I'll be able to only use my own 3d as well.
I also uploaded solstice without the render into my scraps, if anyone wants to check out what all of the photoshop work looks like.
This is only my second large scale piece, so any comments, ideas, anything is encouraged. The background also happens to be my first ever spacescape. I'll probably have something more refined along those lines. This one worked well (I think) as it was a small part of the piece, whereas I don't think it could have stood alone as a deviation.
Click on the emotion legend link below your post to bring up a list of emotions you can use. Just type in whatever code it says to the left of an emotion wherever you want it in your post. I can understand a lot of the confusion of being new, as I've been around for less than a month now myself (though I did lurk around the site a little before I joined).

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
